MEAL PLAN TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- It is the policy of the State University at Geneseo to require all campus residents to purchase a meal plan each semester.
- In order for the meal plan to remain tax exempt the following conditions must be met: The meal plan is non-transferable and is for the sole use of the student to whom it was issued.
- Food items purchased are for the immediate consumption of the student to whom the plan was issued.
- Food items cannot be removed from the all-you-care-to-eat areas of either Red Jacket or Letchworth Dining Centers.
- China, glass, trays and silverware cannot be removed from any Dining Center. They are the property of Campus Auxiliary Services.
- Partial refunds are allowed only when a student officially withdraw from school. Refunds will be prorated and a $20.00 service charge will be incurred.
- Unused points and flex credit at the end of each semester cannot be refunded or carried over to the next semester.
- Campus Auxiliary Services is able to meet the requirements of most medically prescribed diets. Students requiring such service should complete a meal modification form accompanied by a physician's letter detailing the condition and submit the information to the Business Office located in Blake A, Room 108.
- Report your I.D. card lost or stolen to the CAS Business Office immediately. There will be a replacement fee for lost, stolen or damaged I.D. cards.
- Points make up the declining balance portion of the meal plan. One point is equal to one dollar. Special point meal prices are applied in Red Jacket and Letchworth value centers. Retail prices apply in all other food operations.
- Additional points or flex credit can be added to meal plans at any time during the semester in increments of $25.00 or more.
- The difference in dollars ($300.00) between the cost of your meal plan and the actual points shown on your meal card is operating expenses deducted from the balance. This cost is taken to keep discounted pricing in the all-you-care-to-eat facilities.
